Signature block colour Frocks come with vintage influences and features such as a bat-wing, 50s waisted shapes and demure lengths.  Think striking Scarlett Reds, Emerald Greens and Romantic Floral prints that will break up those chilly days and tempt you away from classic black.

The favourite in the office so far would have to be the Botanical Print. The cotton imported from our German mill is as soft as silk and the print is beautifully feminine yet rich.

It’s no secret that we all love Japanese food over here at LE HQ… but we just had to share this with you all! Last week, we lunched at Yoshii, a restaurant that until recently, had been forgotten about. And it’s easy to do, seeing in that it’s tucked into into the north end of the Sydney CBD where us fashion folk hardly ever travel to. Sure their décor is a little dated, they don’t stray from the traditional menu items and the soundtrack to lunch was a little strange, but you just can’t say anything about the delicious dishes and the stunning presentation! Butterfly carrot anyone? How about a scallop flower or daikon star?

We spotted Rebel Wilson in our Rosanna Frock. She’s lost 12kgs so far and we think Rebel is looking fabulous!

Amanda from our GPO Boutique: With a wardrobe full of gorgeous Leona frocks I’m always looking for an occasion to wear them out – so winning a dinner at the amazing press club restaurant was perfect! This is Hazel, my all time favourite style in the beautiful Ocelot Print.

Yum!: Every plate was like a work of art – and tasted as good as it looked! This was the Bannockburn breast and leg, kalaboki, marouli, manitari and white onions.

The dessert: Zeus - The story of his 8 wives, Michel Cruizel chocolate made up of 8 elements (I can only remember the chocolate mousse, chocolate sorbet, chocolate and walnut cake, and chocolate twill but it was all amazingly delicious!)

All of the girls up in Sydney are very jealous indeed! x

How long have you been working with Leona Edmiston?

6 months (already …….. can you believe that!!!!)

What has been your biggest challenge so far?

Turning around the W12 collection in 1 month ……… talk about crazy beginnings!

What was the inspiration behind the accessories for A/W?

Handbags – elevating the Leona-centric pitch. Taking on colours and prints from the main range and highlighting that, creating a chapter within the season’s story.

Heels- everywhere you look, you’ll find heels with more detailing than there should be, this is a back to ‘stylish’ basics collection. From the most chic pair of Navy velvet pumps to the work boots in teal kid suede, I’d buy the entire collection!

Jewellery – everyone covers up in winters so the obvious thing to accessorise is your winter clothes. Nothing achieves that better than a light weight hand crafted Spanish brooch and for the fingers that pop out there are some equally stylish and wearable rings ……. you’ll keep looking at your hands all day!  

What is it like to work in the studio?

Everyone here is great, it’s almost impossible to find a set of people who think alike and complete each other’s sentences from the first day …….. Everyone here is like that.

What is your must have buy for this season?

The Lila handbag is Black Pony leather…….. It’s gorgeous!

Why are heels, bags and jewellery so important to you?

“An accessory is merely a piece of iconography used to express individual identity” – The devil wears Prada.

Accessorising well can make (or break) your aura, sometimes accessorising cleverly is more important than the clothes you wear.

Besides, heels, bags & jewellery, they’re all so pretty ……. what’s not to love!

What is your biggest no no when it comes to accessories?

A sad handbag! If you have the capacity to buy one gorgeous handbag instead of 10 sad one’s, buy the ONE good handbag !

You are trapped in an elevator – what is your must have fashion accessory?

My handbag, the contents will keep me connected & entertained for hours!!
