We asked our little fashion intern, Beth Coleman, to write a celebrity post for us this week. Here’s her version of our Spring/Summer 2013 Cote D’Azur Parade last week!

Being an intern for Leona Edmiston, Cote D’Azur was nothing less of exhilarating. Having spent various weeks preparing gift bags, casting models, packing boxes and trying my hardest to contain my excitement, the night was more spectacular than expected. Being my first ever fashion show, I was quite anxious of what was to come. As I arrived at Catalina’s restaurant in Rose Bay, I made my way to the van of chaos. Filled with drop-dead-gorgeous models, delicious Greek Salad and the lingering of hairspray, I managed to find somewhere to drop my bag and start snapping.
With a combined team of MAC makeup artists, Sloan and Schwarzkopf hair stylists, each girl leaving the van made a statement. Slick ponytails and bold red lips sure were an asset to Leona’s dazzling frocks.
Not a long wait after, Leona herself arrived and that’s when the production began coming to life. She escorted the models inside and gave each of them individual instructions on where, when and how she wanted them to make their way down the catwalk. They each had a platform, but she was quite particular on how each girl would pose to best showcase off each of her masterpieces.

As the sun lowered, the show lights appeared and the red carpet rolled out. That moment was what gave me such a buzz! As the guests arrived, I made my way to the van but made sure I had a peep-hole so I could spot all my favourite bloggers, stylists and television personalities. (in which I did!) We were given notice in which the show would soon commence and at that very moment, the van became absolute chaos. We were assigned to two models each, and three looks per model, mind you that seems a lot less than it certainly feels. By this stage, we had each model in their first look and we were ridiculously excited to get the ball rolling. Lights, camera, action!
